Austrian Airlines is ending its seasonal Vienna–Ohrid service on 27 September instead of 18 October, dropping to one weekly flight from 17 September.
Austrian Airlines will conclude its seasonal Vienna–Ohrid service several weeks earlier than planned — 27 September instead of 18 October — and will fly once weekly from 17 September, down from twice. The route had already seen its launch pushed from 17 May to 21 June.
The cut comes after a summer in which Ohrid was served by three flag carriers — Turkish Airlines, Air Serbia and Austrian, which in June became the third to enter the Vienna–Ohrid route.
The practical hook for travellers: if you’re planning a flight to or from Ohrid in the second half of September or in October, check your dates before booking. Meanwhile, the low-cost carrier Wizz Air remains the one expected to extend Ohrid’s season, per the Deputy PM’s 29 August statement.
